Cookie policy
This page explains how surajgogoi.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with the Privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tags used by some third-party tools. Cookies can be “session” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent” (kept for a set period).
2. Who sets cookies
Cookies may be set by this site (first-party) or by third parties that provide services used on the site (for example hosting security features, the educational quiz embed, checkout, or – if enabled later – analytics).
3. Essential cookies
Some cookies are necessary for the site to work securely and reliably. Examples include cookies that:
- support basic page delivery and security;
- remember that you have seen a cookie banner or recorded a consent choice (if a consent tool is used);
- protect forms against abuse.
These cookies do not require consent under UK rules in the same way optional cookies do, but they are still described here for transparency.
4. Checkout cookies
When you buy a guide, you leave this site’s product page and complete checkout on a third-party platform (currently SamCart). That provider and its payment processors may set their own cookies to run checkout, prevent fraud and complete payment. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s privacy and cookie materials. Review the notices shown at the point of purchase.
5. Educational quiz (Involve.me)
The free educational quiz is embedded from Involve.me. The quiz script does not load until you accept cookies on the quiz page. A first-party record of that choice is stored so you are not asked again on every visit.
Once accepted, Involve.me may set cookies or similar technologies so the quiz can run, remember progress and record a submission if you complete it. If you finish the quiz and give your name and email, Involve.me collects those details on my behalf for educational follow-up. Those cookies are set by Involve.me and are governed by Involve.me’s own privacy and cookie materials.
You can refuse. The quiz will not run, and Involve.me will not load. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser.
6. Forms and email signup
If WP Forms or a similar plugin is used for the educational email list, it may set cookies or process form data needed to submit your details securely. Personal data from forms is handled as described in the Privacy policy.
7. Optional analytics and marketing
Optional analytics and advertising cookies are not active on this site.
If analytics (for example privacy-respecting site statistics) or advertising tags are added later:
- non-essential cookies will only be used with an appropriate consent mechanism where required;
- this Cookie policy will be updated to name the tools and purposes;
- you will be able to refuse non-essential cookies without blocking essential site functions where technically possible.
8. How long cookies last
Duration varies by cookie. Session cookies end when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire after a period set by the site or third party (from hours to months). You can delete cookies earlier through your browser settings. The quiz consent record is kept for up to 12 months.
9. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Controls differ by browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others). If you block all cookies, some essential features – including checkout on third-party pages and the embedded quiz – may not work correctly.
10. Do Not Track and similar signals
There is no single industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals. Consent choices made through the quiz cookie prompt (if present) are the clearer control for Involve.me on this site.
11. Changes
I may update this notice when tools change. The “last updated” date will change when material updates are published.
